Lincoln, NE (April 12, 2013) State Farm policyholders affected by the storm activity in eastern Nebraska Tuesday evening are encouraged to report their claims right away, according to State Farm spokesperson Ann Avery. To do that, call 800-SFCLAIM (800-732-5246) or contact a local State Farm agent. Claims can also be reported online at statefarm.com.
At this time weve received just over 3,000 auto claims and more than 1,500 homeowner claims in the impacted areas with varying degrees of damage being reported by our customers, said Avery. We anticipate more claims will be reported in the coming days and weve made the necessary staffing adjustments to help our customers and are already assisting them with their losses.
Avery added these tips for customers who are dealing with damage; when it is safe to do so, make temporary repairs to prevent further damage to your home or car. Save your receipts if you purchase items such as tape and plywood or other supplies to make repairs.
State Farm is the largest insurer of homes and vehicles in Nebraska.
