State Farm is pleased to welcome new State Farm Agent James Sweatt to its family of Good Neighbor Agents in Winston-Salem. To celebrate the new agency, James will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, Jan. 9, at 3:00 p.m. Attendees will include local business leaders, State Farm executives, local clients, local vendors and community friends.
The James Sweatt agency, located at 668 Hanes Mall Blvd. in the Pavilion’s Shopping Center, officially opened its doors on Dec. 3, 2012.
“I have always wanted to own my own business and State Farm offered a way for me to really enjoy what I do,” said James. “This career allows me to work directly with people to prepare for the future and provide financial security for their families.”
James’s office includes three staff members, Missy Bravo, Stephanie Coble, and Jamie Ortegon-Glatus, who are well prepared to help customers with their insurance and financial services needs in both English and Spanish.
James lives in North Carolina with his wife and four children. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Westminister College. He is also a graduate of the GE Financial Management Program (FMP) and Certified Six Sigma MBB. James is an active member of his community, working with organizations such as the United Way, the Young Men’s Christian Association, the American Heart Association, and the Second Harvest Food Bank. He also mentored and tutored disadvantaged youth in his community. In his free time, James enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, history, football and golf.
