  • Mobile Funds Transfer

    Mobile Funds Transfer is an easy, quick, and convenient way to transfer money between your State Farm Bank® deposit accounts.
    Customers now have the ability to transfer funds via State Farm’s mobile website by accessing m.statefarm.com or by using Pocket Agent® for Android™ or iPhone®.  Customers with at least two Internet-enabled deposit accounts can use a mobile device to transfer funds from one internal eligible State Farm Bank account to another.

  • Online Chat

    Are you looking for real-time help with opening a deposit account?  State Farm Bank® now offers online Chat during the online application process for select deposit products.

    Chat can be initiated from most of the deposit account application screens and a customer does not need to be signed into their account in order to use the Chat functionality.

    We want your feedback!  A brief customer survey will be administered at the end of each customer’s chat session in order to ensure we are consistently delivering first-class customer service.

  • Credit Cards

    State Farm Bank® implemented several enhancements for Credit Card customers.

    1. Online Statements: Bank credit card customers can now view e-statements online.
    2. Site Redesign: The authenticated statefarm.comŪ credit card pages have been updated to promote a more user-friendly and organized online experience.

      Some of the site changes include:

      • Left navigation pane: Various information tabs have been re-arranged to make highly requested or highly viewed account information easily accessible.  This change includes the content found under the Account Summary and Statement Summary information tabs.
      • Transaction Page: As an added convenience option, you can now click a green e-statement box to view your e-statements.  There is a resource link for pending transaction FAQs located above the Pending Transactions list and search options to sort transactions in an ascending or descending order by the following categories:  Transaction Date, Post Date, Transaction Description, Debits, and Credits.
      • Customer Service Page: Arranged to include the State Farm Bank credit card contact information (mailing address, email and phone number), mobile banking information, online help instructions for credit card disputes, how to make an online payment, FixPay® and text banking enrollment and various resource links to help you protect your account(s). The Customer Service page replaces the Resources page.
    3. Credit Card Alerts1: As an additional self-service option, credit card customers now have the ability to receive SMS Core Alerts. SMS Core Alerts are one-way or two-way credit card account notifications.
      • One-way SMS Core Alerts:  One-way alerts are received via e-mail, text message, or voice2.
      • Two-way SMS Core Alerts:  Two-way alerts is an option for you to receive your balance, transaction information, and payment information via text message or e-mail. To send and receive a successful two-way alert, just send a specific code that corresponds with the credit card account information you would like to receive an update for via e-mail or text.

        Some of the two-way alert codes are:

        BAL - Current balance, available credit
        AVAIL - Available credit, available cash
        BILL - Last payment amount/date and minimum payment due/date
        TRANS - Last 3 posted transactions
        MORE - Returns 3 additional posted transactions
        HELP - Returns information regarding alerts and customer service contacts
        MENU - Returns a list of commands
        STOP - Disables text alerts for credit cards

    To promote the awareness of the SMS Core Alerts functionality, State Farm Bank will notify you upon your first log-in to the credit card pages to sign-up for SMS Core Alerts. This informational page will provide you information to learn more about the new SMS Core Alerts feature, including how to enroll and manage your alert subscriptions.

    To sign-up for SMS Core Alerts, you must be web enabled with a registered credit card account. The Call Center will be able to assist if step-by-step instructions are needed, if you have specific questions, or require additional information.

    You can also enroll in Fraud Alerts, which can be received via e-mail or text.  For Bank customers not enrolled in Fraud Alerts, State Farm Bank will continue to monitor those accounts for fraudulent account behavior.  If the Bank detects any potential fraud activity then customers will be contacted via Voice Alerts2.

    • 1: Your mobile service provider may charge for text messages sent or received on your mobile device. You should check with your mobile service provider for details on specific text charges that may apply.
    • 2: Voice Alerts are only used to deliver Fraud Alerts to Bank customers.
  • Pay State Farm Credit Card via Mobile Phone

    Credit card customers who have registered their account on statefarm.com® and have established at least one online payment account can schedule payments to their State Farm® credit card accounts using the mobile version of statefarm.com (m.statefarm.com).

    This mobile feature is also available on Pocket Agent® for Android™ and iPhone® devices, and may be downloaded from the Android Market or Apple's iTunes® App Store.

    • Bank customers using this mobile functionality are able to use a mobile device to schedule payments up to 90 days in advance, and view 90 days of payment history and pending payments.

      In order to make a payment, you must:
      • Be registered and enable their account on the full version of statefarm.com
      • Have at least one payment account set up on statefarm.com for making State Farm Credit Card payments
      • Have successfully logged into m.statefarm.com or have downloaded and logged into the latest version of the State Farm Pocket Agent for Android or iPhone devices
    • When making payments, you can view your credit card account balance and are prompted to input a payment amount, select a funding account, and schedule a payment date. Next, you will be asked to verify the payment. Upon verification, you will receive a "Payment Success" notification thanking you for your payment and to informing you to look for a confirmation email.

      Note: Although you can now view your accounts using a mobile device, you do not have the ability to set up new payment accounts. This needs to be set up on statefarm.com prior to making credit card payments on your mobile device.

    • You may also use this mobile functionality to view any of your pending payments.

  • Deposit Transaction Images

    • State Farm Bank® customers now have the ability to view images of deposit transactions, just as with checks today!  This functionality provides added convenience for those who like to view Personal Transactional Account deposit slips and checks captured by using one of the following:
      • MyTime Deposit™ Application for Android and MyTime Deposit Application for iPhone
      • MyTime Deposit personal scanning
      • Deposits sent by mail
  • Online Credit Card Dispute Feature

    • State Farm Bank® customers now have the ability to dispute credit card transactions, quickly and easily, with the click of a button*. The online dispute feature is available on the statefarm.com&erg; Transactions or Account Maintenance tabs listed under a customer's My Account profile, and provides another avenue of convenience for customers who prefer to do their banking online.
      Some reasons for disputing a transaction online may include:

      • Charged twice for the same item
      • Charged in error or a different amount than the customer agreed to
      • Damage or defects to item purchased with credit card
      • Charged for items/services not received
      • Charged for items/services on credit card even though a different payment method was used for purchase

      Please note: Fraudulent transactions should be reported to us by phone. When filling out an online dispute, the form will ask, "Is this a fraudulent transaction?" If 'Yes' is selected, then an error message containing a toll-free number is provided. Please contact us so your dispute can be processed.

      After selecting a dispute reason, additional information is requested to process the dispute: contact phone number, e-mail, and a detailed description of your dispute. Once submitted, a reference number is provided and a representative will be in contact via phone or e-mail, if additional information is needed.

      Check the status of the request by viewing the Request History section located under the Account Maintenance tab.

      *A dispute may also be submitted in writing, rather than online, to State Farm Bank, PO Box 1420, Deposit, New York 13754-1420 by providing your Account information, Dollar amount of the suspected error, and a description of the problem.
  • Bill Pay customers can now view scheduled transactions

    • State Farm Bank® Bill Pay customers can now view scheduled transactions with the amount of each transaction reflected in the account balance. To manage, simply go to your Account Activity page and choose to show or hide scheduled transactions.

  • Financial Cards Hints & Tips

    • Will you be traveling in the near future? Protect your credit card account while you’re away with State Farm Bank® Travel Notification. This feature allows you to notify us of travel plans so you don't experience any interruption in card usage. To take advantage of this feature, select the credit card on the My Accounts page, then on the Account Maintenance tab click Travel Notification and enter the necessary information.
    • State Farm Bank now offers frequently requested credit card forms, accessible right at your fingertips! A link to the Hardship Form will appear on the Resources tab for customers who are past due on their credit card and potentially qualify for assistance. In addition, the Co-Applicant, Co-Applicant Removal, and Declaration of Fraud forms are available for customers to access online.

    (706-644-0852) phone numbers are located on the back of your credit card.

  • Additional Authentication

    In order to mitigate risks associated with some online transactions, State Farm Bank® has implemented an additional security checkpoint for select external transfers of money. 

    This additional authentication is integrated into the existing transfer process.  You will continue to have the ability to securely do the following:

    • Make a single external transfer
    • Make a recurring external transfer
    • Edit a single external transfer
    • Edit a recurring external transfer
    • Change or Add a Mobile Phone number

    In order to create/edit a transfer or change a mobile phone number, customers must select to be contacted by phone in order to verify the one-time security code.

  • Mobile Bill Pay

    Pay your bills on the go – anytime, anywhere!  State Farm Bank® customers now have the ability to pay Bank bill payees via the State Farm Bank mobile website or by using Pocket Agent® for Android or Pocket Agent for iPhone.  Users who have set up Bank bill pay online will see their payment options via mobile, after updating Pocket Agent.

    In order to utilize mobile bill pay, customers will need to have previously enabled their checking or money market account(s) on the full version of bill pay on statefarm.com® and have entered payees to complete this mobile bill pay transaction.  This is a great win for State Farm and our customers as this functionality provides yet another way for State Farm Bank to deliver remarkable customer experiences.

  • Person to Person Transfers

    Whether you’re paying your babysitter, giving someone birthday money, or repaying a friend for dinner, sending money to friends and family has never been easier! State Farm Bank® Person to Person transfers provides customers with the ability to transfer funds online using the PayPal™ network. All you need is the recipient’s e-mail or mobile phone number. In order for the recipient to receive the funds, they will need to set-up a PayPal account or have one already established. Enjoy the convenience of paying others anytime, anywhere!

    Account to Account transfers provides customers with the ability to make personal payments to family and friends using electronic transfers, within one to two business days. Customers with a Checking, Interest Checking, or Money Market Account can transfer funds directly into another State Farm Bank account or a non-owned account at another financial institution by knowing the appropriate routing and account number.

  • Expedited Payments

    December 4, 2010
    Expedited payments are a new feature available for State Farm Bank Bill Pay customers. Customers who have a need to accelerate a non-electronic payment will now have the option of selecting the expedited payments feature, allowing for an overnight delivery if requested before 6:00 pm (CT). Customers who choose the option of overnight delivery will be charged a $14.99 delivery fee, which will be automatically deducted from their account. Before selecting a payee, you can use the “Smart Calendar” on the Make Payment screen in order to verify the delivery date of your payment and determine whether an overnight check would result in a quicker delivery.

  • HELOC eStatements

    December 4, 2010
    eStatements are now available to new and existing Home Equity Line of Credit customers. Customers who choose to receive their statements electronically can enroll online with the click of a button or by calling State Farm Bank (1-877-SF4BANK) to make the request. The eStatement is printable; and, the remittance portion of the statement can be sent in with your monthly payment or by making an electronic payment. Once the electronic statement is selected, you will no longer receive paper copies. If at any time you choose to receive a paper copy, you can un-enroll from this service. The request turnaround time is immediate. Please note, once you choose to receive the paper copy statements again, you will no longer have the ability to view previous eStatements.

  • New MyTime Deposit® Scanning

    MyTime Deposit scanning provides an easy and convenient way to deposit funds into a State Farm Bank® account with the use of a personal scanning device. Customers interested in using this functionality will need the following:

    • A personal scanning device, which is TWAIN compliant
      • TWAIN is a standard software protocol and applications programming interface (API) that regulates communication between software applications and imaging devices such as scanners and digital cameras.
    • Statefarm.com® registration (internet enabled) and an e-mail address on file with State Farm Bank
    • State Farm Bank Checking, Interest Checking, Savings, and/or Money Market Account

  • Enhanced Transaction History

    Internet Bank customers logging in to State Farm Bank’s® mobile website now have the ability to view up to 50 recent transactions for their enabled deposit and credit card accounts. Customers can view transaction history on an “Account Details” page by selecting the account from the list available on the mobile My Accounts page.

    • Deposit accounts will display both posted and pending transactions
    • Credit cards will display posted transactions only
    • Due to the smaller screen size on mobile devices the transaction details available will be more limited than on statefarm.com

    Pocket Agent® also provides customers with the ability to view their last 50 transactions for their enabled deposit and credit card accounts when using your iPhone or Android mobile device.

  • Updated Credit Card Site

    If you’re a State Farm Bank® Visa® credit card customer, you will notice a fresh new look when you log in to your credit card account from statefarm.com. The credit card site has been updated to provide customers with a simpler and more convenient way to manage their online account. These enhancements include:

    1. Pending transactions – customers can see which purchases are pending on their account by clicking the Transactions tab.
    2. FixPay® – Customers can easily move qualifying purchases to the FixPay installment option. Qualifying purchases are identified by a red “FP” icon within the Transactions tab.
  • Enhanced Online Bill Pay

    State Farm Bank customers can now complete common bill payment tasks and access information about scheduled and processed payments directly from the redesigned Make Payments page. Other improvements include online guidance for first-time bill payment users, a simplified process to add payees, and a new payment reminder option. The Make Payments page continues to support customers in making payments to existing payees and now enables you to make payments to new payees. The process to add a payment to a new payee is simplified. When you make a payment to a new person or business, you can add the payee as part of the process.

    The Make Payments page also provides immediate access to some of your most important payment information. Action items, pending payments, and recently processed payments are displayed on the page. Managing your bills has never been so easy.   • MyTime Deposit® for Android

    State Farm® has released the newest version of the State Farm Pocket Agent® Android app with MyTime Deposit functionality. State Farm Bank® customers using an Android phone are now able to deposit checks into their State Farm Bank deposit account directly from their phones.

    The process is simple and mirrors the process of the iPhone: Just endorse the check, select the account in which to deposit the check, enter the amount and take a picture of the front and back of the endorsed check. Customers must keep the check for 30 days after submitting the check for deposit.

    State Farm Bank is working to make banking easier with secure check deposits whenever – and wherever – it’s convenient for account holders.

    MyTime Deposit will work with Android versions 1.5 and above. Customers can currently deposit checks using iPhone3G, 3GS and 4.The service allows State Farm Bank customers to quickly and securely deposit checks into their State Farm Bank savings, checking, interest checking and Money Market accounts.     Attention Bank Customers! You now have the ability to set up and receive a variety of deposit account alerts to your e-mail address or mobile phone. This enhancement helps you keep informed about everything happening with your account. With alerts from State Farm Bank, you will never be surprised!

    • Access “Manage Contact Information” to update your information with your mobile phone number.
    • On the “Manage Alerts” page, customize the alerts so that they are triggered when specified criteria is selected and sent to the e-mail address or mobile device of your choice.

    Check out these other improvements:

    • When you use Online Bill Pay, you can now see an image of a check that State Farm Bank writes on your behalf, if the payee does not have an electronic relationship with State Farm Bank.
    • Did you know that when you use your State Farm Bank CheckCard as a “credit” transaction, the purchase amount is reserved by the merchant, reducing your “available balance” amount? Any reserved amount now appear in the transaction history. The actual payment amount (if different from the reserved amount) will be listed once the payment is processed and clears the account. Any reserved amount over the actual amount will be returned to your available balance.
