Free Emergency Financial First Aid Kit
Prepare for the Unexpected
State Farm believes that being prepared is crucial to recovering from the unexpected. So does Operation Hope Inc. (OHI), a non-profit organization whose mission is to bring economic education and empowerment to America's inner cities.
Operation Hope Inc. (OHI) has designed a program called Emergency Financial First Aid Kit (EFFAK) that can help you be better prepared in the event of a natural disaster or personal emergency. This simple tool is intended to help Americans ease the financial impact of a catastrophe, allowing users to organize their key financial records. For a free digital copy of EFFAK, click on the OHI Web site at www.operationhope.org.
The EFFAK was created in reaction to the September 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center. OHI Founder, Chairman and CEO John Bryant wanted to provide free financial recovery services to people affected by natural disasters and national emergencies. After the emotional disaster of a catastrophe, financial disaster usually follows, and this tool allows Americans to prepare in advance.
Distribution of the EFFAK as a free digital file and/or paper form is being offered by OHI partners including City of Los Angeles Emergency Preparedness Department, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and the Federal Reserve System. Both English and Spanish versions are available.
