Integrity in Action
Mike: If you look around at some of the corporations that have been blasted in the news and have destroyed the confidence of their customers and their stockholders, character and integrity cannot be replaced with anything, it absolutely cannot.
Jerome: The character of State Farm, I believe is in its people.
Julie: What has been very important to me is working for a company that is so grounded in integrity.
Marsha: We take good care of each other. We work hard to build teams that work well together.
Mike: If you get in the door at State Farm, somebody’s looked at your character, they’ve looked at your background and integrity, and said you know we think this person would be a good neighbor, we think this person belongs inside our house.
Melissa: I think the environment at State Farm is very friendly. I think that people work together, but also like to do things together outside of work.
Marsha: We find ways to be out in the community and working with folks and giving back to those communities.
Seanan: State Farm's been very supportive in helping me to become a coach for high school athletics. Because they know it’s helping me as an employee too. It helps me with leadership skills, motivating the kids to achieve, of goal setting and that sort of thing. So, they know that even though it might be outside of the walls of State Farm, that it truly is enhancing the employee’s skill set.
Julie: The things that we’re involved with in the community really show that we do care about people, not people that just work here or our policyholders but we care about the community.
Jerome: Because we are a good neighbor, we’re there. And you see it in the community activities that we get involved with.
Mike: You’ve got to be able to be trusted. We’re handling other people’s money. We’re handling other people’s lives. And it is up to us to make sure that we control that and we manage that appropriately.
Phani: It makes you feel good. It makes you feel good that you’re part of such a big organization as State Farm, and you’re contributing to something that big.
Mike It’s that prestige, this is a world-class organization, the people that work here are: world class.
