Yes, as long as you plan to activate your OnStar subscription and enroll in OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics. State Farm® will request odometer information from OnStar approximately 30 days after you sign up for Drive Safe & Save. If we are unable to obtain odometer readings at that point, your State Farm agent will contact you. If you do not activate your OnStar subscription, we will remove the initial participation discount back to the effective date it was added.

State Farm will request up to the six most recent historical odometer readings on your car but will not use any odometer readings that occurred prior to the date you purchased the car.

Your discount may be adjusted at each renewal period, based on the collected driving information.

All private passenger autos in California are eligible except:

• Antique/Classic vehicles
• Motorcycles
• Commercial vehicles

Your discount for Drive Safe & Save will be recalculated with each policy renewal.

Yes. State Farm may use a third party source to validate your entered odometer reading.

Most customers will see a discount with this program. However, if you are currently receiving a discount for low estimated annual mileage (under 7,500 miles annually for personal use) and the vehicle is actually driven more than that threshold, your premium may increase at a future renewal. Your State Farm agent can provide you with more details.

Your initial discount will be applied as of the effective date Drive Safe & Save is added to your policy. If your current policy term is paid in full, and the discount generates a credit of $10.00 or more, you will receive a refund check.

If the discount generates a credit of less than $10.00, the credit will be applied to your next policy term.

If there is a balance due for the current policy term, you will receive a revised balance due notice.

If your policy is on the State Farm Payment Plan (SFPP), a credit will be applied to the SFPP account and the monthly payment will be adjusted accordingly.

You need to report the vehicle’s odometer reading prior to every renewal. You will receive a reminder notice approximately 60 days prior to renewal instructing you to enter the odometer reading on statefarm.com or to contact your agent to report the odometer reading.

Yes. You can report your odometer via your mobile device through m.statefarm.com and your My Accounts page. Customers with vehicles enabled on the internet and enrolled in Drive Safe & Save will be able to:

• View vehicles currently enrolled in Drive Safe & Save Self Report
• Enter odometer readings
• View information on how to enroll other vehicles in the household
• View odometer reminders for those vehicles that are due

Yes. All private passenger rated vehicles are eligible to participate in the Self Report option. However, if you have an active OnStar account with OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics, you may find it more convenient to sign up for the OnStar option. With this option, you won't have to do a thing to report your odometer readings. OnStar does it all for you!

Drive Safe & Save is strictly an optional program. Customers who choose not to participate will continue to have their auto policies rated based on the annual mileage estimates they have provided to State Farm.

No. Drive Safe & Save is optional and is vehicle specific. You can make the decision to enroll for each individual household vehicle.
