Accident-Free Discount (State Farm Mutual Only)

If your car (or a car it replaced) has been with State Farm for at least three years without a chargeable accident during this period, you will receive a car insurance discount in Georgia on the premiums for Bodily Injury and Property Damage Liability, Medical Payments, and Collision Coverages. This discount may increase over time if the policy remains in force and there continue to be no chargeable accidents.

An accident is chargeable if the driver was 50% or more at fault and State Farm paid $750 or more under the Property Damage Liability Coverage and Collision Coverage combined. For a multiple vehicle accident, a Property Damage Liability Coverage payment must have been made for a claim to be considered chargeable.

Defensive Driving Course Discount/Good Driver Discount

You may be eligible for this vehicle insurance discount if all of the following apply:

1. The principal operator has completed, within the past three years, a defensive driving course approved by the Department of Public Safety. Approved courses include but are not limited to those offered by the Georgia Public Safety Training Center, the American Association of Retired People, the American Automobile Association or the National Safety Council; and,
2. The principal operator has committed no traffic offenses within the past three years or since the date of licensure, whichever is shorter; and,
3. The principal operator has not had a chargeable accident as defined under the State Farm Accident Record Rating Rule, within the past three years.

Exception: An operator age 21 to 24 or a married female operator under age 21 may complete an acceptable driver education course in lieu of the courses in item 1, above. The minimum course requirements of an acceptable driver education course are that the course:

1. Be conducted by an instructor who is licensed or certified to conduct such a course; and
2. Include at least 30 hours of classroom instruction in basic traffic and safety rules, plus at least 6 hours of driving experience under actual road and traffic conditions or in a mechanical device simulating such conditions.

Drive Safe & Save™ Program

The State Farm^® Drive Safe & Save Program is available to customers with a qualifying device on their insured vehicle that monitors the car usage. To be eligible for this program, customers must complete the Drive Safe & Save Program Consent Form. This authorizes vehicle usage information from the device to be shared with State Farm. More Information

Driver Training Discount

You may be eligible for this auto insurance discount if each owner or operator, other than a married female, who is under 21 years of age and resides in the household or usually operates the insured vehicle, has completed a driver education course that:

1. Was conducted by an instructor who is licensed or certified to conduct such a course; and,
2. Included classroom instruction in basic traffic and safety rules, plus driving experience under actual road and traffic conditions or in a mechanical device simulating such conditions.

Evidence of course completion must be submitted to State Farm. If your state requirements for such a course are more stringent than the above, the state requirements shall be considered the minimum.

Good Driving Discount

You may be eligible to receive this auto insurance discount in Georgia if each of the drivers in the household has had no moving violations and no at-fault accidents during the past three years. The private passenger vehicle receiving the discount must also be insured with State Farm Mutual Auto Insurance Company.

Note: All driving history will be verified at the time an application is submitted for car insurance.

Good Student Discount in Georgia

All male and unmarried female drivers under 25 who are full-time students in high school or at a college or university, and the scholastic records for the immediately preceding school semester show that this student meets at least one of the following:

• Ranked scholastically in the upper 20% of his or her class.
• Had a grade average of B or higher.
• Had a grade point average of 3.0 (out of 4.0) or higher.
• Was included in the Dean's List or Honor Roll.

Persons under age 25 who have graduated from a four-year college or university and have a cumulative scholastic record meeting the above requirements may also be considered.

Students who are enrolled in a home study program may qualify if they satisfy the scholastic requirement by submitting evidence that they ranked in the upper 20% on one of the following national standardized tests, administered within the last 12 months:

• PSAT
• PLAN
• SAT-1
• ACT
• TAP
• California Achievement Test

Note: Proof of eligibility is required when an application for auto insurance is submitted.

Multiple Automobiles Discount in Georgia

You may be eligible for this discount if you meet all of the following criteria:

1. There are two or more private passenger automobiles primarily driven by persons residing at the address.
2. The vehicles are insured with State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company or State Farm Fire and Casualty Company.
3. The owners of the vehicles reside in the same household and A) are related by marriage, blood or adoption, or B) for two unrelated owners, they must jointly own the vehicles and both be designated as named insureds on the policies.

You may be eligible for this discount if you are the named insured on a qualifying State Farm Fire, Life or Health policy.

Multiple Line Discount

You may be eligible for this discount if you are the named insured on a qualifying State Farm Fire, Life or Health policy.

Passive Restraint Discount

1993 and prior vehicles equipped with a factory-installed air bag or other passive restraint system which meets federal safety standards will receive an auto insurance discount on the premium for Personal Injury Protection Coverage and Supplemental Medical Payments Coverage.

Steer Clear® Safe Driver Discount

Steer Clear Safe Driver Discount - In order to initially qualify for this car insurance discount, the following requirements must be met:

1. All male and unmarried female drivers under 25 years of age who are assigned to the automobile must:
   • have no at-fault accidents or moving violations in the three year period prior to the time the discount is initially applied (Note - In some states certain accidents and moving violations may not disqualify you), and
   • have successfully completed the State Farm Steer Clear program, which needs to be administered by a State Farm agent. The program includes the driver watching a video presentation, reading a safe-driving magazine and completing a driver's log to document driving experiences

1994 and newer model year private passenger vehicles may receive a discount on the premium for Medical Payments Coverage based on the loss experience of that particular vehicle series.
