How to report a boat claim
To start the claims process, contact your State Farm agent. Once you've reported your claim, an associate will contact you as soon as possible.
Important things to remember
- Take reasonable steps to protect your boat from further damage
- Prepare an inventory of damaged or stolen property including item descriptions and any available bills, receipts and documents that establish their value
- Review your policy for specific coverage information
- Be sure to tell us where your watercraft is located
If someone files a claim against you
- Report your claim and State Farm will conduct an investigation to assess the allegations
- State Farm will adjust claims you are legally liable for, subject to the terms and conditions of your policy
If anyone is injured
- If you or your passengers have applicable medical payments or personal injury coverage, injury-related bills will be paid according to the terms and conditions of your policy
Settling a claim
- We'll pay to repair or replace your damaged property subject to the terms and conditions of your policy
- If applicable, check with your lien holder about how they handle claim payment
- Check with your State Farm agent or claim representative with questions
