How to report a boat claim

To start the claims process, contact your State Farm agent. Once you've reported your claim, an associate will contact you as soon as possible.

Important things to remember

  • Take reasonable steps to protect your boat from further damage
  • Prepare an inventory of damaged or stolen property including item descriptions and any available bills, receipts and documents that establish their value
  • Review your policy for specific coverage information
  • Be sure to tell us where your watercraft is located

If someone files a claim against you

  • Report your claim and State Farm will conduct an investigation to assess the allegations
  • State Farm will adjust claims you are legally liable for, subject to the terms and conditions of your policy

If anyone is injured

  • If you or your passengers have applicable medical payments or personal injury coverage, injury-related bills will be paid according to the terms and conditions of your policy

Settling a claim

  • We'll pay to repair or replace your damaged property subject to the terms and conditions of your policy
  • If applicable, check with your lien holder about how they handle claim payment
  • Check with your State Farm agent or claim representative with questions
