State Farm Catastrophe Services® mobile catastrophe fleet
Since introducing the first Catastrophe Response Vehicle in 1990, State Farm has continued to expand and improve their fleet of mobile catastrophe facilities. These vehicles have allowed us to provide the quality service our policyholders expect, when they need it most.
Our fleet includes vehicles and trailers of various sizes. Each member of the fleet serves a different purpose. They are deployed based on the type and size of catastrophe, amount of time needed in an area, and catastrophe response needs in other areas. They are ready and able to deploy at a moment’s notice, and can respond within 48 hours to any catastrophic event anywhere in the continental United States.
The company's Mobile Catastrophe Facility (MCF) is a full-fledged, catastrophe office contained within a custom-built 53-foot semi-trailer. The MCF provides more than 900 square feet of working space for as many as 50 people to handle claims. The Mobile Catastrophe Command Center (M3C) is another catastrophe office, which is 40-feet long and has over 300 square feet of “office space”. Both the MCF and M3C arrive at the catastrophe-stricken area with furniture, equipment, office supplies, work stations, tents, power generators, phone lines, data ports, and a communication satellite, making them a totally functional resource that is not dependent on local utilities or communications resources. This enables us to begin handling claims as soon as an event happens, without having to wait for access or restored utilities begin servicing our policyholders.
Our mobile catastrophe fleet helps us respond quickly to catastrophic events and start helping our policyholders as soon as possible. We are able to provide the excellent customer service when and where our our customers expect it and deserve it.
