Coverage Amounts

Universal Life is available at minimum issue amounts of:

  • $50,000 for ages 0 -- 54 ($25,000 for tax-qualified retirement plans)
  • $25,000 for ages 55 -- 80
  • $100,000 for Preferred rates, $250,000 for Super Preferred rates

Death Benefit Options

There are two death benefit options you can choose with a Universal Life Insurance policy.

Option 1
Option 2

Provides a level death benefit equal to the Basic Amount of life insurance you choose.

Provides a death benefit that varies with your policy Account Value. Your death benefit is the amount of life insurance plus the policy Account Value.

Optional coverages (available for an additional cost)

  • Family Coverage -- Term life insurance on your spouse and children can be included, subject to insurability. The additional level term rider may not be available in all states.
  • Disability Waiver of Monthly Deduction - The cost of life insurance, optional coverages and the monthly expense charge can be waived during total disability as defined in the policy beginning before age 60 and lasting six continuous months.
  • Guaranteed Insurability Option - You are guaranteed the right to increase your life insurance coverage by the amount of the rider on specific option dates without evidence of insurability, provided you also have the waiver of monthly deduction for disability benefit. When you marry or become a parent, you may exercise the next available option.
