This type of Farm/Ranch policy may be right for you if you live on a farm premises, that you rent. This type of Farm / Ranch policy combines Personal / Household coverages together with Farm / Ranch coverages.

Personal and Household Coverages

  • Household Personal Property - Coverage B

    Protects household personal property in your dwelling, like clothes, furniture and appliances.

    Loss Settlement Provisions include:
    • Replacement Cost
    • Depreciated Loss Settlement
  • Loss of Use - Coverage C

    Provides payment for certain losses when your dwelling is damaged and rendered uninhabitable because of an insured loss.

    Additional Living Expenses - covers the actual loss incurred for increased expenses over and above what you normally spend for food, shelter, and related items.

  • Losses Insured - (Coverage B and C)

    Coverage for your Household Personal Property may include loss caused by:

    • Fire or lightning
    • Windstorm or hail
    • Theft
    • Weight of ice, snow or sleet
    • Vandalism / malicious mischeif
    • Aircraft and vehicles
    • Explosion
    • Sudden or accidental tearing or bulging of heating or cooling systems
    • Riot or civil commotion
    • Falling objects
    • Freezing of plumbing systems
    • Sudden and accidental water discharge from plumbing or appliances
    • Sudden and accidental artificially generated electrical current

    All coverages are subject to the Losses Not Insured provisions of the policy.

  • Additional Personal / Household Coverages

    Provide limited additional coverage for certain losses

    • Debris Removal
    • Collapse
    • Credit or Bank Card Forgery, and Counterfeit Money
    • Refrigerated Products
    • Volcanic Action
  • Optional Personal / Household Coverages

    For additional premium, provide limited coverage for certain losses

    • Back-up of Sewer & Drain
    • Earthquake
    • Fire Department Service Charge
    • Identity Restoration
    • Personal Injury

Farm Coverages

  • Scheduled Farm Personal Property - Coverage D

    Protects only the Farm Personal Property (such as farm machinery, grain, livestock, farm tools, etc) that you specifically describe in the policy schedule. Coverage is for Specified Perils.

    Loss Settlement Provision is Actual Cash Value

  • Unscheduled Farm Personal Property - Coverage E

    Covers the Farm Personal Property (farm machinery, grain, livestock, tools, etc...) that you use in your farming operations. Coverage is for Specified Perils. An 80% coinsurance clause applies to this coverage. This coverage is intended for farmers or ranchers that intend to insure all Farm Personal Property owned by the farmer or rancher.

    Loss Settlement Provision is Actual Cash Value

  • Farm Buildings and Structures - Coverage F

    The Farm Buildings or Structures that you specifically describe in the policy schedule are protected against Specified Perils. The Farm / Ranch policy does not include Dwelling Extension, so coverage for any detached structure should be specifically listed on the policy schedule.

    Loss Settlement provision is Replacement Cost — Common Construction OR Actual Cash Value. Loss Settlement eligibility on each building or structure is determined through consistent underwriting guidelines.

  • Losses Insured (Coverage D, E and F)

    Include loss cause by:

    • Fire or lightning
    • Windstorm or hail
    • Theft
    • Smoke
    • Vandalism/malicious mischief
    • Collision
    • Explosion
    • Vehicles
    • Aircraft
    • Riot or civil commotion

    Additional Perils for Livestock (included at no extra charge):

    • Attack by wild animals or dogs (not including sheep)
    • Accidental drowning
    • Accidental shooting
    • Accidental electrocution

    Coverage for select Farm Personal Property (Coverage D and/or Coverage E) and select Farm Buildings and Structures (Coverage F) can include loss caused by many Accidental Direct Physical Losses (ADPL) for an additional premium. All coverages are subject to the Losses Not Insured provisions of the policy.

Farm Liability Coverages

  • Personal and Farm Liability - Coverage L

    Coverage provides payment for your legal liability up to the limits in the policy for damages because of bodily injury or property damage caused by an occurrence to which this insurance applies.

  • Medical Payments to Others - Coverage M

    Coverage pays medical expenses up to the limits in the policy for people who are on your premises with your permission and are accidentally injured. The coverage also extends to people accidentally injured by your activities.
