State Farm's Eighth Annual Child Safety Day
Events Will Be Held in May and September
For decades, safety advocates have stressed the importance of using car seats, booster seats and seat belts for children riding in motor vehicles. Yet, motor vehicle crashes remain the leading cause of death in the United States.
There are precautionary measures parents can take to ensure that their children are riding safely in vehicles. When used correctly, child restraints effectively reduce the risk of death and serious injury in a crash.
Because State Farm® cares about children and their safety; we are committed to learning about child passenger safety and sharing that information with you. You can learn how to correctly use car seats, booster seats, and seat belts for your children at the eighth annual State Farm Child Safety Day. Events are scheduled in May and September throughout the country. This "car seat inspection day" will be held at hundreds of locations across the United States, with many sites including other safety-related activities for parents and children.
In 2007, more than 220 events were held across the country. Locations for 2008 Child Safety Day events will be available in early April by selecting your state above. You may contact the State Farm representative listed for more detailed information about a particular Child Safety Day event.
