Since 2000, State Farm has provided grant and loan support to Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) for multiple community development efforts in several cities and rural areas throughout the country.

These resources have impacted 20 local sites, LISC's national rural program and its Gulf Region initiative, leveraging funds to produce almost 18,000 affordable homes and apartments and nearly 9 million square feet of commercial, retail, and community space; including grocery stores, health care clinics, schools, and child care centers.

State Farm has assisted LISC with several neighborhood revitalization initiatives in Indianapolis' Near Eastside neighborhood. These include a financial opportunity center for neighborhood residents, commercial corridor revitalization along East 10th Street, and affordable housing renovation and development.

In New York City, LISC creates environmentally sustainable housing and completes energy-saving retrofits through its Green and Healthy Neighborhoods program.

LISC supports many efforts for comprehensive community development, including job training, workforce development, and entrepreneurship programs in North Minneapolis.
