State Farm Loyalty Rewards™ FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

State Farm Bank® deposit accounts are FDIC insured.

You can earn points when you, or an authorized user, use a State Farm® credit card that earns State Farm Loyalty Rewards points to make purchases that are not later returned, charged back, or adjusted. Earned points are calculated on whole dollars spent rounded to the nearest dollar that will earn you a point. No fractional points will be awarded.

If you have a State Farm® Rewards Visa® Card:

  • Earn 1 point for every $1 spent on eligible purchases made with your State Farm® Rewards Visa® credit card.1 For example, you spend $100, you will earn 100 points.
  • Earn 3 points for every $1 spent on insurance premium payments, up to $4,000 annually.1

You may redeem points toward eligible State Farm products2, merchant gift cards, merchandise, and travel, or a U. S. Bank Rewards Visa® card. You can also use your points as a gift to other State Farm Loyalty Rewards accountholders, or transfer your points between State Farm Loyalty Rewards products that you own.

No, State Farm Loyalty Rewards points do not expire. However, your points may be suspended or you may lose your points if your account is not in good standing or is closed. If you are contemplating closing your account, redeem your points prior to account closure.

Yes, you may purchase State Farm Loyalty Rewards points; however, when you buy points, you will not earn State Farm Loyalty Rewards points on those transactions. Points are sold in 1,000 point increments. Each individual Program Account is limited, in a calendar month, to purchasing 20,000 points or the equivalent of $300 whichever is greater. Points must be purchased using your State Farm Bank credit card that earns State Farm Loyalty Rewards. Once purchased, the transaction is considered final and points cannot be refunded or exchanged.

You can check your points balance or redeem points from your desktop or mobile device by logging into your account. You can also redeem points by calling 877-SF4-VISA (877-734-8472).

You can redeem and apply your points as a gift to another State Farm Loyalty Rewards account holder.

To be eligible, the person who you wish to give points to as a gift must also be enrolled in the State Farm Loyalty Rewards Program with an eligible account in good standing.

Once points are given and credited, they cannot be returned and all gifts are considered final.

Buying products and services with your State Farm Loyalty Rewards credit card, in most cases, will count as a purchase or insurance premium payments; however, the following types of transactions will not count and will not earn points:

  • Balance transfers
  • Cash advances
  • Convenience checks
  • Obtaining other cash equivalents (including but not limited to, wire transfer money orders, other money orders, travelers checks, foreign currency, or tax payments)
  • Buying points
  • Fees of any kind we charge, including an annual credit card fee, if applicable
  • Interest or finance charges, except as otherwise indicated under the Student and Credit Builder card sections
  • Unauthorized or fraudulent charges

The State Farm Loyalty Rewards Program is available to State Farm credit card account holders that formerly earned State Farm Dollars. Existing cardholders were automatically enrolled in the program.

One State Farm Dollar will equal 100 points.

1 The State Farm® Rewards Visa® : Earn 3 State Farm Loyalty Rewards points for every $1 spent on the first $4,000 of any Net Eligible Insurance Premium Payments made annually. Net Eligible Insurance Premium Payments are insurance premium payments made on your State Farm® Rewards Visa® minus any returns, chargebacks or adjustments deducted from your points balance. The $4,000 threshold will be counted on an annual (January-December) basis. Points are earned based on merchant codes that are assigned to the merchant based on their primary line of business. Purchases without the appropriate merchant code will affect your ability to earn points or the rate at which you earn points. Earn 1 State Farm Loyalty Rewards point for each $1 spent on all other purchases. Balance transfers do not earn State Farm Loyalty Rewards points. Your points do not expire; however, your points may be suspended or you may lose points if your account is not in good standing or is closed.
