Financial: Adoption Policy
The Adoption Policy provides financial assistance for employees who work full time or part time (18 hours a week minimum, five months a year). The program offers eligible employees up to $5,000 per child in reimbursement for eligible adoption assistance expenses after the adoption is finalized. If both parents are State Farm employees, the Adoption Policy may be used by both employees.
Adopted children must be under the age of 18 or physically or mentally incapable of caring for themselves. They may be biologically related to either adoptive parent, but the State Farm employee or agent must have the ability to legally adopt the child for benefits to be payable.
This brief overview of the State Farm Adoption Policy is not intended to be a complete explanation of the program. For more detailed information, please refer to the online Human Resources Policy Manual for U.S. employees.
