VIP Experiences Get Latin Music Fans to a Better State
In April, some of the biggest names in Latin music and entertainment came together in Miami for the live airing of the annual Billboard Latin Music Awards, presented by State Farm® ("Premios Billboard de la Música Latina, presentados por State Farm"). As sponsor of the highly acclaimed awards show, State Farm is offering exclusive VIP experiences for Latin music fans to remind them how the Company can help them get to a better state.
"We are proud to continue our partnership with the Billboard Latin Music Awards," said Marketing Assistant Vice President Tim Van Hoof. "In addition to the promotions from years past, we are sponsoring exclusive behind-the-scenes content and a Fan Pass sweepstakes that offer fans a chance to spend time with their favorite artist."
For the first time ever, State Farm featured a special one-hour, behind-the-scenes live stream during the Music Awards hosted by the Latin Billboards Social Reporter. Leading up to the big night, the social reporter gathered exclusive content, including pre-show rehearsal footage, which will be immediately available on the State Farm-branded Telemundo YouTube page.
On the day of the show, the social reporter hosted the official red carpet event and was backstage of the Music Awards and at celebrity interview scenes and fan-gathering places. The live stream of content captured throughout the week aired on telemundo.com and the State Farm Latino Facebook page.
Rolling Out the Red Carpet
State Farm also rolled out the red carpet to make the entire month a VIP experience for Latin music fans. For the fourth consecutive year leading up to the Music Awards, State Farm presented Billboard En Concierto, an annual, invitation-only concert series. The 2013 lineup features live performances by two of Billboard's most unique, chart-topping Latin artists – 3BALLMTY and Tito El Bambino.
This year's seven-city, eight-day music series began with 3BALLMTY opening in Houston on April 2, followed by shows in Dallas, Los Angeles and San Francisco, and concluded with Tito El Bambino performing in Chicago, Miami and New York.
The excitement did not stop there for fans of the Latin music industry. State Farm gave two lucky people and their guest the opportunity to win a special experience to either join Puerto Rican Recording Artist Tito El Bambino at a Miami Heat basketball game or accompany Dominican Singer-Songwriter Prince Royce at a recording of the Telemundo show "La Voz: Niños" (The Voice: Kids) on which he appears as a judge.
Working with these artists offers State Farm a connection to a large fan base and helps deepen the relationships the Company can develop from these promotions through fans' devotion to the musicians.
"State Farm"s mission is to help people, and this program helps put meaning to the State Farm brand by helping fans engage with their passion for music in a deeper way," said Van Hoof. "Fans can also upload photos and share their experience at the State Farm Latino Facebook page, connect with other fans, as well as register for the sweepstakes."

During the live airing of the Billboard Latin Music Awards, State Farm, Shazam and Telemundo joined forces to bring the fans' typical broadcast viewing experience to a better state.
State Farm and Pandora are excited to bring you a completely custom video series, "Fuera del Mapa," featuring Tito el Bambino as he takes fans through a tour of his hometown. You can have access to this unique web and mobile experience on Pandora, which will include exclusive video interviews, as well as photos and playlists curated by the artist.
