State Farm® Companies Foundation Scholarship Program
Entry Forms Accepted August 1, 2011 to February 29, 2012.
For high school junior (11th grade/third year) students who will be completing or leaving high school and entering college in the fall of 2013.
This scholarship program was established by State Farm Companies Foundation for children or legal dependents of State Farm agents, employees and retirees in the U.S.
The annual competition is conducted through the National Merit Scholarship Program by National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), an independent, not-for-profit organization.
In the spring of 2013, the State Farm Companies Foundation will award one hundred scholarships to eligible applicant winners. Scholarships range from $3,000 to $8,000 a year for four years of college (undergraduate study) or until baccalaureate degree requirements are completed - whichever occurs first. The amount of the award takes into account educational costs of the college to be attended, family financial circumstances and other scholarship aid the winner receives.
Who Can Apply
Eligible: Only children or legal dependents of a State Farm agent, retiree or company employee are eligible.
Note: A retiree is an individual who retired from the Company in active status and is eligible for retiree benefits other than retirement/savings and thrift plans.
Not Eligible: The children of agents' staff employees are not eligible to participate in this scholarship program, as well as grandchildren of agents, retirees, and company employees.
