State Farm continues to reach out to military veterans through its Agency Recruiting campaign
focused on servicemen and women transitioning to civilian life.
"Our goal is to help military vets transition into corporate America. Finding a job in this economy
is tough enough and unfortunately it can be even tougher for those coming out of the military,"
said Agency Recruiting Director J D Trueblood. State Farm is working to close the gap between
corporate America and the military. We believe these men and women have superior training,
the know-how, and the never-fail mindset needed to be a successful State Farm agent."
State Farm has established a network of military ambassadors and recruiting specialists, who
visit bases to help veterans who are transitioning to civilian life, write resumes and conduct
mock interviews and create LinkedIn profiles.
State Farm is spreading the word about these outreach efforts via social media. Three new
videos were recently posted to State Farm's YouTube channel. "The videos feature a network of
veterans from across the country that have successfully transitioned into our State Farm
workforce" Trueblood said.
The featured veterans talk about their service, their State Farm life, and the solid values and
opportunities that each provide. They also come from a range of military ranks, including
Tuscon Agency Field Consultant David Campanale who served as Chief Master Sargent of the
Air Force.
"Through sharing the experiences of our State Farm veterans, service members will understand
the alignment of values and skill sets and see opportunity to build a strong career and develop
roots," Trueblood said. "Then they can act on that opportunity by joining State Farm."
