Understanding Your Bill

Paying bills is never fun, but at State Farm®, we do everything we can to make it convenient. For example, we've put together this guide to help you understand our bills and statements. Want even more help? Feel free to Contact Us any time, day or night.

A Regular Monthly Bill

Unless you're enrolled in our recurring monthly payment plan, you'll receive monthly bills like this one.

  1. On the top left of page two, find the Account Summary module. The box shows your last amount billed, last payment made, any outstanding balance, any service charge, and the current amount due.
  2. Right below the Account Summary, this next section shows your Policy Details, including the amount due per policy number. The total amount billed will be the sum of these.
  3. Any changes made to your policies in the previous billing period appear here, within the Policy Details section.
  4. On the top right of page one, find the grey Notice of Payment Due module. This box shows your State Farm Payment Plan account number, the total amount due and the payment due date.
  5. The grey box near the center of this page displays important alerts, reminders, and any additional bill or account related information.
  6. On the bottom right of page one, find the address where you should send your payments. Please don't send anything else to this address. If you'd like to speak with a State Farm representative, visit our Contact Us page to find out how. 

Recurring Monthly Statement

If you're enrolled in our recurring monthly payments program, you'll receive monthly statements instead of a bill.

  1. On the top right of page one, find the Notice of Automated Payment module. This box shows your State Farm Payment account number, the total amount due and when it's scheduled to be processed.
  2. Right below this box, you'll find your agent's contact information.
  3. The grey box near the center of this page displays important alerts, reminders, and additional information about your automated payment account or policies.
  4. On the top left of page two, find the Account Summary module. This box shows your last amount billed, last payment made, any outstanding balance, any service charge, and the current amount due.
  5. Right below the Account Summary, this next section shows your Policy Details, including how much is due for each of your policies. The total amount billed will be the sum of these.
  6. Any changes made to your policies in the previous billing period will appear here, within the Policy Details section.

Payment plan options, associated fees, and availability vary by province and product type. Policies underwritten by Desjardins Financial Security Life Assurance Company are not eligible for State Farm's automatic payment plan or credit card payments.

If you are a State Farm Payment Plan quarterly or semi-annual account holder, contact your agent to establish a recurring monthly payment plan option.
