Renters Insurance Discounts

Finding competitively-priced insurance is possible, especially if you’re a State Farm® auto insurance customer - generally you can get renters insurance coverage for only a few extra dollars a monthfootnote [1].

You may also be eligible for home alert discounts that will help you save on your renters insurance if you install qualifying home security devices.

Multiple Line Discounts

You may save up to hundreds of dollars every month when you combine your State Farm auto and renters insurance policies. Find out if you’re eligible for premium discounts on both policies by contacting a State Farm agent.

Home Alert Protection Discounts

When you have a home safety device installed - such as a smoke detector, burglar alarm, or any other home monitoring system - you may qualify for a premium discount on your renters insurance.

To find out if you’re eligible for a home alert protection discount, get a renters insurance quote above or contact your State Farm agent.

Saving Money with Higher Deductibles

You may also lower your monthly premium by choosing higher deductibles for your renters insurance policy. Generally, the higher your deductible, the lower your premium. But with a higher deductible, your financial responsibility would be higher if you file a claim. Your agent can help you determine the deductible that’s right for you.

It’s important to ask yourself how much of the cost you’re willing to shoulder in order to save on your monthly premiums. (Also note that this option isn’t available in some states - talk with your State Farm agent to find out more.)
