When we say we promise to build better educated communities, we mean what we say. We support education scholarship programs so students can focus on their education and worry less about how to pay for it.

National Merit Scholarship Corporation

State Farm Companies Foundation provides funding for two different scholarships administered by National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

  1. National Merit $2500 Scholarships: These are one-time, nonrenewable awards of $2,500 made to high school seniors who qualify as Finalists in the annual National Merit Scholarship Program. For more information, please contact National Merit Scholarship Corporation at (847) 866-5100.

  2. State Farm Companies Foundation Scholarship: One hundred scholarships, ranging from $3,000 to $8,000 per year up to four years of college undergraduate study, are awarded to academically talented legal dependents of eligible State Farm associates, agents and retirees every year. The amount of the award takes into account the college educational costs, family financial circumstances, and other scholarship aid the winner receives.

State Farm Good Neighbor Scholarship Program

Every 26 seconds in America, a student drops out of high school.

The State Farm Companies Foundation believes all children deserve an education that helps them reach their potential and prepares them for life.

To help students pursue higher education or skills training, the State Farm Good Neighbor Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to 26 high school seniors who plan to attend college, technical, or vocational school, but often do not qualify for other scholarships.

Applicants must be high school seniors with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 to 3.2 on a 4.0 scale who will graduate at the end of the 2012-13 school year. Applicants must also be U.S. citizens, be planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate study for the 2013-14 academic year and demonstrate financial need.
