State Farm® Mutual Funds Receive Strong Ranking

Bloomington, IL, March 20, 2012 – For the fourth year in a row, Barron's has listed State Farm Mutual Funds in the Top 15 in its five-year ranking of fund families. 2012 is the second year that State Farm was included in the ten-year ranking, coming in fourth out of 45 families.

Barron's ranked the combined State Farm Associate's and Retail State Farm Mutual Funds fifth out of 58 fund families in the one-year ranking (ending December, 31 2011) and 12th out of 53 fund families in the five-year ranking. The five-year return reflects an established track record of successful investing as a result of State Farm's conservative investment philosophy.

Additionally for 2011, State Farm also ranked second in Taxable Bonds, eighth in Mixed Equity, 22nd in Tax Exempt Bonds, 30th in the U.S. Equity category, and 35th in World Equity.

The State Farm Mutual Funds included in the Barron's Fund Family Survey (compiled by Lipper Associates, Inc.) consist of four associate mutual funds available only to State Farm associates and 14 Retail mutual funds available to the public. The Barron's survey did not include the State Farm Money Market Fund.

To qualify for the Lipper/Barron's Fund Survey, a fund family must have at least three funds in Lipper's general U.S. stock category; one in world equity, which combines global and international funds; one mixed-equity fund, which holds stocks and bonds; two taxable bond funds and one tax-exempt offering. Fund loads and 12b-1 fees are not included in the calculation of returns. Each fund's return is measured against all funds in its Lipper category, resulting in a percentile ranking which is then weighted by asset size relative to the fund family's other assets in its general classifications. Finally, the score is multiplied by the general classification weightings as determined by the entire Lipper universe of funds.
