What’s over your head could lower your costs. Based on roofing materials, homeowners may be able to obtain a discount in their home insurance premiums.

    Where are roofing
discounts available?

In some states use of qualifying impact resistant roofing products may qualify for significant premium discounts. Premium
reductions are not available for roofs, other than qualifying metal roofs, which have been overlaid onto existing roofs.

Home insurance discounts are currently available in the following states.

Before installing an impact resistant roof, or for more information about roofing discounts and other home safety and security information, contact

Discount names, percentages, availability and eligibility may vary by state.

The choice of roofing materials used on your home is up to you. It's always a good idea to discuss roof safety and impact resistance with your roofing contractor.
