Nail down
roofing
discounts

What’s over your head could lower your costs. Certain roofing materials may allow homeowners to obtain a discount in their home insurance premiums.

Where are roofing
discounts available?

In some states use of qualifying impact resistant roofing products may qualify for significant premium discounts. Premium reductions are not available for roofs, other than qualifying metal roofs, which have been overlaid onto existing roofs.

If it’s time to replace the roof, make an informed decision and select a replacement product by reviewing the State Farm® list of eligible products and the ratings from the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety.

Home insurance discounts are currently available in the following states.

Before installing an impact resistant roof, or for more information about roofing discounts and other home safety and security information, contact your State Farm agent.

How do I become eligible for a
roofing discount?

To certify your eligibility, you’ll need to print and complete the certification form. Remember only certain shingles qualify for a discount.

The choice of roofing materials used on your home is up to you. It's always a good idea to discuss roof safety and impact resistance with your roofing contractor. State Farm® does not endorse, guarantee, or recommend roofing products, nor is the application of a discount to be construed as any type of an express or implied warranty by the manufacturer, supplier, installer, or State Farm.
