Analysis. Relationships. Quality.
State Farm insures more cars and homes than any other company in the United States – with some of the highest customer satisfaction ratings in the industry. State Farm is also the largest life insurer in the United States, in individual life policies in force. We do it by making sure our underwriters and underwriting assistants have the skills and knowledge they need to provide remarkable service. Underwriting Service Assistants (P&C) and Customer Service Assistants (L/H) process policy changes, and utilize critical thinking skills to help agents service our customers. Underwriters assess customer risks and determine insurance eligibility by reviewing applications, existing business, statistical data, reports, and customer information. Check out our key Underwriting areas below.
Property and Casualty (Auto or Fire)
Our Property and Casualty employees evaluate auto or fire-related insurance risks, review policy changes, and fairly classify and price policies. They also analyze existing policies and offer recommendations to help agents maintain a profitable book of business. Our Underwriters and Underwriting Service Assistants are based in offices in Atlanta, Georgia; Austin, Texas; Bloomington, Illinois; Charlottesville, Virginia; Dallas, Texas; Lincoln, Nebraska and Tempe, Arizona.
Our Life/Health employees help our customers prepare for, recover from, and manage the challenges of everyday life from finances and healthcare to preparing families for the unexpected loss of a loved one. Opportunities to serve our customers and agents include many different roles from Underwriters to Customer Service Assistants to Analysts. Employees in these roles are based in offices and response centers in Bloomington, Illinois; Dallas, Texas; Greeley, Colorado; and New Albany, Ohio.
