Homeowner forms and resources

State Farm® is dedicated to helping you recover your losses quickly and efficiently. Please use the forms and other resources below to guide you during your loss recovery. There are two different ways of your choosing on how to submit your inventory one being the Contents Inventory Aids and the other being a standard Excel to fill in for your inventory. Please choose which option may be best for your situation.

Contents Inventory Aids

If you have experienced a moderate to total loss and need assistance with completing your personal property inventory, the Contents Inventory Aids below can be used to itemize your damaged/lost inventory, guide conversations with your assigned claim handler and/or emailed to us for processing. For general questions, please contact your assigned claim handler or team.

  1. Download a Contents Inventory Aid in the form of your choice, either Excel or PDF.
  2. Complete columns quantity, age, condition and notes, if applicable for each item. Make sure that you save the inventory to your desktop.
  3. Return the completed form to State Farm via e-mail at HOME CLMS-FIRECLAIMS with your claim number as the subject. You can also upload your Contents Inventory Aid via statefarm.com®. Set-up is easy only takes a few minutes — simply visit www.statefarm.com® and select Manage Your Claim to get started.
  4. A brief video is available to explain how contents inventory aids may help with preparing an inventory of unsalvageable personal property. For questions or further assistance, please contact your assigned claim handler or team.
