What happens after I file a claim?
- After approximately 1–2 business days of receiving the notification of death, the Life Claims Operation Office will review the information reported and notify the beneficiary via mail or email.
- The beneficiary will be sent the Beneficiary Claim acknowledgment letter, along with applicable claim forms needed. Under certain circumstances, additional documents may be required.

Complete the beneficiary form online.
If an agent is assigned to the policy, they will receive a copy of the letter and claim forms and be available to assist the beneficiary.
- The payment will be processed in approximately 1–3 business days once Life Claims Operation Office receives and reviews all necessary claim forms, adequate proof of death, and any other required information/documents.
- Once payment is processed, a lump sum payment can be expected in approximately 10 business days if paid by a check or 2–3 business days if paid by an Electronic Funds Transaction (EFT).
